We believe exposure to new things can ignite passion and purpose. That's why the Booker T. Washington Vocational Institute exists - to introduce teens to viable career paths and lucrative opportunities in various trades. Through project based learning, our team of instructors teach plumbing, carpentry, and general construction from the very beginning. Over the course of the class, each student will learn how to identify and use over 25 tools, and how to complete basic construction tasks.
When a teen has a vision for their lives, they make better decisions, the live with purpose and they are generally more motivated and committed to their responsibilities. Our goal is to foster that within every student. Whether they're interested in careers in construction or not, we know that participation in Booker T. Washington Vocational Institute can benefit any student in ways that the curriculum cannot express.
